Celebrating JESUS Project Balloon

Celebrating Jesus: Project Balloon – Thank you Note.

Last year, to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I held a Christ Remembrance Day with my son and two of my younger brothers. We painted a lantern to indicate Jesus is the light of the world. We baked cupcakes and decorated them with candied crosses, had dinner and participated in communion.

This year, on March 24th 2018, my son and I wrote thank you notes to Jesus for dying for our sins, celebrated his resurrection and proclaimed his death until he returns. We went to a park and released the balloon. The purpose of this is to celebrate worldly holidays in ways that honor Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us to turn our backs on man made worldly traditions, deny ourselves and carry our cross.

A few years ago, I started researching the history and origins of worldly holidays that we celebrate in America proclaiming two of them are for Jesus. I learned that the holidays had pagan roots and I personally came to the conclusion after researching biblical verses, history, symbolism and the actual traditions, the holidays did not honor Jesus Christ and his teachings.

The American Christmas celebration is supposed to acknowledge the birth of Jesus Christ and Americans do this by contradicting Christ’s teachings not to lie, covet, and worship idols. Parents lie to children about a fictitious Saint, have their kids put out cookie offerings for this idol, allow their kids to covet and create “we want lists.” Even Christians who don’t participate in the Santa Clause portion bring trees from outside to decorate (Read God’s response in Jeremiah 10) and even think a manger beneath the tree corrects the celebration and tbey put carved baby Jesus and mother Mary under the tree which violates the 2nd Commandment.

I researched and there’s no exact mention of when Jesus waa born; however, there are biblical clues by the bible noting stars in sky and I found scholars pointing to the month of September as the month of Jesus’s birth, some further point to September 11th. (Research yourself form your own conclusion). Jesus doesnt tell us to celebrate Birthdays but I still want to celebrate him and will in September. Perhaps by doing something he’d want me to do as opposed to making it about what we want.

In John 13:10 “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.”

Although it doesnt sound favorable, maybe giving our family members pedicures, having a feast, taking communion together and having kids paint lights to signify Jesus is the light of the world. Again, making the birth of Jesus celebration, completely about Jesus and doing what he would want from us.

Consider the following scriptures:

In John 4:22 Ye worship what ye know not what?

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and is now, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Is part of worshipping in spirit and truth, taking the biblical route to obtain the holy ghost and then allowing the holy ghost to lead us into truth by leading us to research history and symbolism and what it is the world is worshipping?

I understand the intent behind Easter and not all Americans have researched or some have and chose to cling onto a family tradition they hold dear to their hearts. Understandably, we are all given free will and I feel extremely liberated in turning my back to the world and doing what I feel in my own personal heart, best honors and respects Jesus Christ.  Revelations 12:9 tells us “Satan deceives the entire world,” (me included and he totally has fooled me) and  I believe God uses even the enemies deception to recruit sinners into Christianity and to move families closer together.

Despite the fact maybe the Bunny and egg hunts are appealing, they still have pagan roots and represent the fertility goddess “Ashtaroth” who is the mother and wife of Nimrod/Baal and in English “Ishtar” pronounced “Easter.”

I’ve heard people defend Easter celebration and indicate the historical background doesnt matter as they are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

My question is, If that’s so, why do we need to share the day with a day when the fertility Goddess is recognized? Why cant we pick another day? Why are children coloring Ishtar eggs instead of painting lights to show Jesus is the light of the world? Why are you including a Bunny and doing egg hunts? Why dont  children hunt for bread sticks and call them “the Body of Christ” and once the sticks are found, ” crush them, put crumbs in a balloon with helium, release them in the air… “Kids, Jesus has risen!!!”

Why are kids participating in Easter activities that symbolically arent truly tied to Jesus, but are tied to Ishtar?

Ephesians 6:12 KJV “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.

We are combating in a spiritual battle with dark and light forces and we as believers might want to steer clear of deception and anything that doesnt respect God.

I bring this up because the word of God tells us to choose who we serve. 1 Kings 18:21 (KJV) And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. Choose God or serve Baal. The pagan Easter celebration is tied to Baal, as Ishtar.

Does Jesus give spiritual authority to people who walk against his teachings and word? If were in a spiritual battle, now might not be a good time to sit on a fence? Who do you serve, God or Baal? What are your thoughts?

My thoughts and views are not an attack on those who are participating in these holidays. I have family members that still participate. I’m merely calling to believers to research, review the history, review supporting biblical scripture and form your own personal opinion based on supporting scripture and historical facts so you can affirm and understand what you’re worshipping and why? Satan is a Deceiver and we are in a spiritual war. What side of the fence are you on? These are important questions and I would like to see believers (myself included) more concerned with respecting and honoring Jesus Christ than worldly traditions.

I’ve created my own version of holidays to honor Jesus’s ressurection and birth. Its not only liberating, it can be fun as families can create their own traditions and scratch off pagan traditions and anything that disrespects the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Churches can also create their own versions of celebrations for Jesus. It’s in my eyes a statement to the enemy, were not taking your deception, were walking in truth and were turning our backs to the world and carrying our crosses.

This world is growing darker and we as believers need to unite and honor and grow in obidence to the word of God. We cant achieve or do anything without Jesus. I believe we lose power to the enemy when the enemy is able to deceive us into disobeying the word of God.

1 Samuel 7:4 – Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.

1 Kings 18:21 (KJV) And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Jeremiah 23:13 – And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

Jeremiah 7:9 – Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;

Jeremiah 2:8 – The priests said not, Where [is] the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after [things that] do not profit.

1 Samuel 7:4 – Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.

John 15:5 – I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

2 Kings 17:16 – And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, [even] two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

Acts 4:11-12 KJV This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

JESUS… IS WORTHY of the highest regard and RESPECT. JESUS LEADS to SALVATION. We can be world pleasers or JESUS PLEASERS… I CHOOSE to live the rest of my life pleasing JESUS. If a holiday is named after Baal’s wife and involves rabbit, egg, fertlity symbolism, I have chosen to create a new day to recognize the resurrection of Jesus Christ and affirm the historical roots and truth behind that Ishtar tradition. We can receive or reject the history as we desire, I choose to turn away from it. To each his or her own. We are all judged by God on an individual basis. I just wanted to share my stance and send out love and respect for Jesus and I celebrated his ressurection with a thank you letter inside a helium balloon. Released the balloon proclaiming he has risen, and we proclaim your death until you return.

PRAISE JESUS! Enjoy your day….

God bless all.
